Wild Orchids growing on lava rocks of Jeju Island
In Seogwipo you can find a place called "Kyullimsong" - a Park of orchids and bonsai trees growing on lava stones.
Starting from mid of June one can enjoy blooming orchids rooted on lava stones only seen on Jeju Island. In nature these orchids grow around Mt Halla, their roots are longer than stems, as the roots get nutrition and moisture from the stones and from air.
